Types of Batteries and their Practical Applications
Alkaline Batteries
These are general purpose batteries which are designed for low voltage applications such as for providing 1.5 V/9 V output.
Lithium Batteries
These are small sized cells which are found in watches, pacemakers, and cameras.
NiMh
Nickel metal hydride belongs to the rechargeable class of batteries which are used in electric vehicles.
Lead-Acid
It is a 12 V battery which is a combination of 6 cells each having 2 V of output.
