We always share a lot about the Basics of Electrical Engineering. In this post, we are sharing some nonelectrical units and their conversions which are very important for every engineer.
Inches and Meter
1 meter = 39.37 inches
Miles and kilometers
1 mile = 1.609 kilometers
Meters and feet
1 meter = 0.3048 feet
Radian and Degrees
Radian = (𝜋/180) * degrees
Example # 1: Convert 27 inches to meters
27 inches = 1 meter/ 39.37 = 0.0254 meters
Example # 2: Convert 2.5 meters to inches
2.5 meters = 2.5 * 39.37 inches = 98.425 inches
Example # 3: Express 35 meters in feet
35 meters = 35 * 0.3048 = 10.668 feets
Example # 4: Convert 20 radians to degrees
20 Radians = 20 * (𝜋/180) * degrees
20 Degrees = 20 * 180 / 𝜋
20 Degrees = 1145.91
